Diversity Advantage The landscape of the American workplace has drastically changed within the past 25 years.  The more we embrace a global economy the smaller the world gets. The changes have resulted in a work environment that is rich with diversity not only with respect to race and ethnicity, but also gender, generation and a host of other diversity considerations.

However for each diversity consideration there is the potential for a diversity-related conflict among workers and supervisors as everyone wants his or her own specific needs to be met.  This training identifies the on-going process of recognition, understanding and acceptance of the variety and complexity of people with whom we must interact. It gives participants an opportunity to explore diversity issues from both personal and professional perspectives through lecture, group interaction, open dialogue and short exercises.

By the conclusion of this training participants will:

  •  Learn to appreciate differences and how to be more sensitive to others
  •  Be familiar with the dimensions of workplace diversity
  •  Recognize the business advantages and reasons for diversity and diversity acceptance
  • Have a heighten awareness of personal prejudices and biases and learn how to avoid liability
  •  Learn how to take responsibility for workplace diversity
  •  Understand generational differences and their impact on the workplace
